PETITION
To: Susan Darrow, Chairperson KPFT Local Advisory Board
We the undersigned strongly urge you to nominate Teresa Allen to the Pacifica
National Board.
Although the Pacifica foundation is floundering in crises of finances and leadership,
a just and reasonable end to the long struggle is now possible. We believe that
Teresa has outstanding credentials to fill this position and work toward such
an outcome that will save the network and restore strong leadership. They include:
1. A background in activism and music promotion that will be key to bridging
the gap between both groups within KPFT Houston.
2. She is fair minded and would take input from all interested parties.
3. The background and historical knowledge of Pacifica that will be critical
to the rebuilding process.
4. The national contacts and presence to work quickly, collaboratively, and
effectively on a national level.
We ask you to give these points serious consideration in your decision making
process.
(Signed,)

I have known Teresa Allen for more than 10 years, and am familiar with several social action organizations she has worked for during this time. My personal experience has shown me that Teresa always works in the best interest of the organization with which she is associated. Teresa is one of those rare individuals who does more than pay lip service to social action, she actually does the hard work necessary to improve the world and make it a better place. PNB would greatly benefit by allowing Teresa to bring her enthusiasm and experience to the organization. - Terry Leyenberger
As a long time supporters of Pacifica, we now wince every time we are asked to make a contribution. The only free clear progressive voice in the Gulf Coast Area is being stifled. We beg you to consider adding Teresa Allen to the Pacifica National Board. - John and Nancy Preston
Please add our names to the petition nominating Teresa Allen to the interim Pacifica National Board. As loyal KPFT pledgers, we have significant concerns regarding the changes in programming and believe that Teresa Allen will represent the listeners. - Mary Jo O'Neal & Steve Harr

I've been a KPFT listener for about 30 years, and I know Teresa Allen in the context of another organization we're members of. I've observed that Teresa brings her good judgment, energy and diligence to whatever she does, and I think she will contribute a much-needed sense of perspective to the Pacifica National Board. I strongly support her nomination - Stephen S. Bates
It would give me great peace of mind knowing that Teresa Allen has a place on our local board of KPFT. She demonstrates the founding spirit of Pacifica community radio. - Denise Reilly

I donated a building, (The Rich Bldg., 2401-05 San Jacinto) to Pacifica Fndtn in 1966. They sold the property to the operators of Rich's Night Club. At that time, KPFT was a liberal voice in Houston. I want to see and hear it again. - Marvin Rich
